2021.10.26 16:06 eyelikerocks New 90 Gallon Questions
This past weekend I set up a new 90 gallon tank with ~15 gallon sump.
I plan on moving over the live rock (45 lbs), fish, corals, and inverts from my mature, 12 year old 29 gallon setup.
The 90 gallon was set up by a third party. To fill the 90 gallon they used mature water from their systems at their shop. The sump has a refugium section with brand new live sand and some new rock.
The tank sand is brand new dry aragonite sand. I don’t think the rock was live rock, but it looks like normal Fiji live rock. About 60 lbs.
Do you think this will avoid a cycling? Should I move over some live rock from the mature 29 gallon right now? Will that help or could I potentially kill the pods/bacteria?
I was planning on letting the 90 gallon run for a few weeks before adding my 29 gallon inhabitants. I have some questions about livestock choice and order of addition I’ll save for another post.
Some equipment info - AquaticLife DX18 T5/LED hybrid lights, ReefOctopus Classic 150 skimmer, two filter socks, Finnex LED fuge light (not on yet). Currently have 4 T5 bulbs running (blue/actinic) and will turn on two Kessil A360Xs later. Also have BlueLine ATO controller. Not sure the brand of pumps.

2021.10.26 16:06 PinkPengin [Thank You] Yesterday's cards after a work all-nighter
The bad news is, I didn't finish by the original deadline, but the good news is... around 4 a.m., the deadline MOVED to later today, because the freelance client I'm working with is absolutely lovely. Which means I'm treating myself to a break to read last evening's mail!
u/nonoyo_91 - I'm starting off with one of my loveliest cardfriends, whose birthday card for me, with one of the nicest wax seals I've ever seen, arrived. I've currently been able to resist and have a nice little stack of them in my room, but much like another cardfriend u/birdiebennett, I make ZERO promises that I can keep my hands off them til Nov. 29. Early senders, you've been warned.
u/birdiebennett - Speak of the just-married "devil," I got a lovely Halloween postcard from you today, too! I loved hearing about your kitties and how well you've integrated Kitty into your family. Sending you such love!
u/weird--fruit - Thank you so much for the wonderful postcard with the two owls! I'm working on displays for some of my cards this week, and one of them is bird-themed - so this card will get a place of honor there :)
u/satyarekha1996 - I very much enjoyed your "dud" scratch card, and that you were willing to send it instead of throwing it away! I like rescuing things, and I thought your fall decorations on the reverse were beautiful. To answer your questions, YES, I also want to buy alllll of the stationary after seeing some of the great things people send! Who needs money, right? :) I have just been sending cards here since about the end of August. I took it up as a hobby to try to put some good out into the world at a time when I was feeling down. My best estimation is I've hit over 500 cards sent as of sometime this week. I have 395 tracked just from RAoC, and many sent outside RAoC via Postcrossing and other excahnges, plus to be honest I know I didn't track everything right at first. I am also hoping to send about another 50 to 75 this week to try to get caught up on some requests!
u/libertyprogrammer - Your wonderful bird-and-flowers card celebrating my 100 flair is also perfect for my bird-cards display! And it was so kind of you to send, I did not expect that. You and your positive quotes and neat writing always make my day.
u/purplemermaid16 - Your "Fall in Love" card with the squirrels was absolutely amazing - thank you so much! I am very envious of your sweater weather, as it's still in the 90s many days here in Arizona, though it's "down" to the mid-70s today! I still have a purple/mermaids-themed card to make and send to you, hopefully by this weekend, too.
u/marchbook - Thank you for the Halloween exchange! I especially loved that you printed the address in such a spooky font!
u/RavRenTX - Another bird postcard for my bird display - YES! This is very, very convenient. Your Victoria crowned pigeon from Australia made me smile. I visited there in 2019 and would love to go back someday. And I liked the "sticker dump!"
u/OwlMakeURad - Thanks for the fun "I'm a Happy Camper" postcard! I liked hearing about your beautiful fall. Even here in the desert allergies are bad, sadly! I have a card in exchange coming your way hopefully this week as well.
u/retrorabbit79 - Your handmade spooky exchange arrived and I love it! I'm also going the "easy" costume route this year; since most of what I need it for is events with my karate school, I'm going to wear my (all-black) uniform and somehow attach something white like a pillowcase or shirt or something in the center, and hopefully paint my nose yellow/orange, maybe get a pair of yellow/orange socks and... boom, I'm a penguin. Yes, I am THAT lazy. :)
u/TheGeekAndTheBeast - Wow! I felt spoiled when I opened your envelope full of goodies! And a capybara card? That's amazing! I would love to send you some happy mail in exchange, but I did not find your address on your card. Would you be willing to chat it (and maybe some things you specifically like) to me? I love sending happy mail and I loved going to your Insta and other places and reading about your efforts. They're awesome and I am so glad to have met you.
u/Quiettpeaches - My dear friend. Your lovely handmade card and kind words meant the world to me. I'm INCREDIBLY grateful for your friendship!
But today's piece de resistance comes from u/suckitup (x6!), who found and sent me a set of postcards that mean the world to me, from a small town in the Netherlands that I have been seeking cards from for YEARS. You truly have given me the greatest gift I will get this year. I know six cards doesn't sound like "a big deal" to most people, but to give you an idea of its importance to me, if someone said I could have these cards, or have free groceries for a year, I'd take the cards, no question, and my family would keep eating ramen. You are a wonderful person and I will never forget this!!!

2021.10.26 16:06 TheOcculistGamer Unpopular Opinion: Coming from an OG veteran, RE6 was better than RE5. Despite being a Michael Bay extravaganza, it’s ironically more faithful to the series survival-horror roots; mainly with Leon and Ada’s campaign. If nothing else, it’s just dumb fun to play

2021.10.26 16:06 bolts-n-bytes [WTS] All CF / M390 Bugout, 9400BK, and M390 Benchmade Valet
All CF / M390 Bugout - see CF Backspacer (New, custom build)
This bugout features the m390 black blade from the aluminum handle bugout. The carbon fiber handle is from the S90V CF bugout. To compliment that OEM CF handle, I added an aftermarket carbon fiber backspacer to match. I think it looks really neat having an all-cf handle. The knife was disassembled to individual pieces, cleaned, polished, and reassembled with care. Pivot was blue loctite'd and the knife tuned for drop shutty action - see the action video below. All parts came from a brand new, sealed, first owner knife. The blade is perfectly centered when closed, and drops shut when you pull the axis lock back. Zero blade play when opened. Packaging included.
SV: $225 (Ships tomorrow! No trades, please.)
Benchmade 9400BK Auto with Black Cerakote Blade (A+, BNIB).
Brand new in box, never cut or carried. Fires like a rocket. Features a safety lock on the spine so it can't open by accident. Auto version of the famous 940.

SV: $195 (Ships tomorrow! No trades, please.)
Benchmade Valet M390 (A+, BNIB)
M390 blade steel, G10 handle. Deep carry pocket clip. Brand new in box, never cut or carried. Drops shut when you pull back on the axis lock (see action video). Perfectly centered. All packaging included. This knife fits a nice size catagory, bigger than a mini bugout but a lot smaller than most full size knives.

SV: $145 (Ships tomorrow! No trades, please.)
Thanks for looking!
To give a little background, I've found the odd hobby of customizing and part swapping bugouts. I've FINALLY made new albums that include a majority of the 70+ different configurations I've made so far. Mini bugouts: https://imgur.com/a/6iIReSk and full size bugouts: https://imgur.com/a/Alo3wfS... I'm happy to take requests!

2021.10.26 16:06 GMAHN Pirates and Quilboars scale too slowly.
Pirates generally require way too many support cards to get any reasonable performance going. It is obvious that they are just designed around a much older version of the game.
Quilboars on the other hand have decent cards but their real scaling doesn't start unless they can get a lvl6 card which is just ridiculous when you look at all the other decks.
